Wedding cupcake stands are becoming more popular these days, thanks to the ever-increasing number of people who want something non-traditional for their weddings. These stands, also called cupcake trees, can fit in as many cupcakes as you want, provided that you get the right size for your display.

Using cupcakes instead of the traditional cake will give you and your guests more options to choose from. You can have two to three flavors for your cupcakes and decorate them accordingly.

A usual cupcake stand has four or five tiers. It is meant to look like a traditional wedding cake, only with cupcakes on each layer. The topmost tier can be used to put a simple and small wedding cake (see above).

Glass cupcake stands are perfect if you intend to use them for other occasions. You can simply wash and dry them, and store them for future use. You can start with a two-layer stand (as shown by the picture to the right), or you can go as high as five or six layers. Again, that depends on how many cupcakes you are serving.

If you are having an intimate wedding, where only a few people are attending, then you can go for a cupcake stand with only a few layers (See pic below). You can put trimmings such as ribbons or lace on the edge of each layer to create a more whimsical look.

Cupcake stands are great not only for weddings, but for other occasions as well. Most stands can be reused as long as they are still in good condition.
